Founded in 1812 by an act of the US Congress, George Washington University is a private, federally funded chartered research university located in Washington DC. There are approximately 254,000 students from all 50 States and over 140 countries, George Washington has a diverse student body and offers a global perspective in it’s educational approach.
George Washington’s mission is to educate individuals in liberal arts, languages, sciences, learned professions and other subjects of study while conducting scholarly research and publishing findings. There are three campuses: Foggy Bottom Campus (Main Campus) located in the heart of DC, Mount Vernon Campus and Virginia Science and Technology Campus.

It was a privilege to attend The George Washington University studying at a masters level in two summer courses. I loved the universities vibrant campus, friendly students and I truly felt a part of the universities culture.
Thank you to the George Washington University, William Garner, Dr Fulton-Delong and Dr Powell for believing in me and allowing me to study during the summer at GW.
I will never forget my time here and will take everything I have learned with me into my future work/career.

A special thank you to Professor Fulton for organising a very interesting class on play therapy with special guest speaker Olivia Medoff - a very interesting and engaging PowerPoint, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Olivia discuss her methods of play therapy, ideas and her suggestions for how we can incorporate play therapy into our practice.
Development and Diversityπ
Thank you to Dr Powell for allowing me to join your classes over the summer. I thoroughly enjoyed class group discussions and comparing the differences to Scotland and America, I thoroughly enjoyed being able to work with everyone!
I loved the discussion elements of this class and as the weeks progressed I felt more confident speaking up in class with my opinions on the literature and in class assignments, for this class we completed in class assignments/discussions each week - I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the different literature and learning about America's educational systems.
During this course, I learned about diversity not only in America but, we also discussed the differences and diversity in Scotland.
